Mr. Magate Phala is the Founder and Director of Magate Phala & Associates (Pty) Ltd and a distinguished practitioner in the fields of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Labour Law, and Employment Relations.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has established himself as a respected authority in workplace dispute resolution, labour relations governance, and institutional mediation.

Mr. Phala currently serves as the Chairperson of the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC), where he plays a pivotal leadership role in advancing national labour relations policy and promoting constructive engagement between the State, organised labour, and key stakeholders within the public service sector.

As an accredited international civil and commercial mediator, Mr. Phala has built a distinguished career dedicated to resolving complex workplace disputes through structured dispute resolution processes including mediation, arbitration, facilitation, and independent adjudication.
